with all credit to Monty Python for the title of this posting, to those of you who have visited my site before: yes, I have added the adult content warning. No, Ive not become a porn site. I've just decided I don't want to be bothered about corrupting some child with my postings or links to other web pages & blogs.
With that said, the previous post is a link to Stephani Hecht. SHe is a writer who specializes in paranormal and erotica. Her son is gay, and she is an advocate for GBLT rights. Personally, I don't care what anyone does behind closed doors as long as it doesn't involved children or non-consensual acts. I won't go in to my political beliefs other than to asy I'm not a Democrat and I do believe in a woman's right to chose - but I don't want to pay for abortions.
Anyway, Stephani writes a nice story. I appreaciate the time and effort it takes to write a novel. Characters are one's children. A writer creates them, watches them grow, and lets them leave the nest.
I may even load a few of my short stories that are adult rated now.
The dog days of summer are here, and in Reno, Hot August Nights are a week away. I'm not in to cars, but I have to admit there are some cool vehicles driving around town. I'll try to get a few photos and post them here. That's if I get stand this heat enough to get outside.
Yes, I know mid to low 90's without humidity is nothing. Doesn't matter to me, I LOOK at the sun and my body is minutes away from an explosion that would make a bleve at an oil refinery look like a backyard BBQ. If it wasn't for the six-month winters, I'd move to Alaska. Damn, I hate getting old(er)! Read between the lines and I'll leave it at that.
Vegetable garden is doing well. Staerting harvesting zucchini last week and the tomatoes should start riping in ten days. I'm still learning the ins and outs of gardening in this elevation.
Finished up my CE. It's not too bad, National Board only requires 20 units. That's easy enough to get, and it beats the hell out of taking a four hour certification exam! Should be getting my renewal notice this month. I believe in always having a back-up career on standby. Never know when the State will go broke and lay-off employees. I hate the thought of going back to counting pills for a living, but a job os a job. Hopefully Sandoval will keep this State afloat.
As always, stay safe out there!
