Sharks GM makes another trade

Dennis Wilson, the General Manager of the San Jose Sharks made another trade over the 4th of July weekend. This time he sent Dany Heatley to the Minnesota Wild in return for Martin Havlat. Drew Remenda, an analyst for the Sharks had this to say about the move:

"Enter Havlat. "World class speed" is the targeted description of Havlat's dominant skill by the Sharks GM. Add that he's a perennial 20-goal scorer and you have replaced the goals and the speed that left with Devin." 7-4-11 Drew Remenda blog

Drew expects Doug Wilson to make more changes before the start of the regular season. No one was happy the the results of the teams standing after the play-offs. The big question being tossed around is, will Marleau be on the ice for San Jose on opening night? He has a no-trade clause in his contract, but he can waive that. Dany had a limited trade clause, listing the teams that he felt would be acceptable to be traded to.

Here is martin's stats from last season. He topped the stats for the Wild.
