Once
a Shark, always a Shark in my book. Just how many active players in the NHL are
former San Jose skaters or netminders? The answer is 32. I have listed the
names, position, and new team below. New Jersey has the most with four while
St. Louis is next with three ex-Sharks players on the active roster. I apologize if I left anyone out.

Other
news about my favorite team:
Below
is a link to the video from the last game verses Chicago, which was billed as
the ‘Battle of the Anttis’. Antti Niemi was playing in goal against Blackhawks
netminder Antti Raanta. Both goalies wore #31 and Niemi made 31 saves for his
forth shut-out of the season. The Sharks are holding fifth place in the Western
Conference.

San
Jose Chief Operating Officer John Tortura announced that the Worcester Sharks
(the AHL affiliate) will be moving to San Jose for the next season. The Shark’s
minor league tem will play in the SAP Center.
This
month San Jose plays the Los Angeles Kings on February 21rst as part of the NHL’s
Stadium Series. This is the first outside arena game for San Jose. EPIX cable
and NHL.com will air a four-part series leading up to this game starting
Tuesday, Feb. 3rd. The best part about this great event? Yours truly will be
there in person!!!! I’m looking forward to seeing my favorite boys of winter
play live.
Joe
Pavelski continues his winning ways. He has 25 goals and 18 assists for a total
of 43 points. He is tied in points with Logan Couture, who ironically has 18
gals and 25 assists!
